Account verification is the process of confirming a person’s true identity through official documents such as an ID card, documents proving residential address, and other supporting evidence. The process is carried out with complete security and respect for each member’s personal data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and does not affect any public identifiers, such as the username.
Why is Verification Required?
Based on the regulatory framework of the National Betting Authority and Cypriot Law, every account with providers offering betting services must be verified. This requirement ensures member protection and aims to prevent fraud.
Why is verification of payment methods also required?
Under the same regulatory framework of the National Betting Authority, in addition to verifying the account, verification of the payment methods used for deposits and withdrawals is also mandatory. This ensures that the payment methods belong to the account holder, enhancing transparency and security in all transactions.
